Welcome to the Sacred House Of One People

The Sacred House of One People (Sacred HOOP) is a non-profit organization built on the wisdom of the elders that all peoples should share that which they know, that we may all know each other better. Our heritage and the cultures on which we build our nation are all important in the greater scheme of things.

Founded on our beliefs as the proud Cherokee Nation, we here at the Sacred HOOP seek to inform everyone of our culture; that others may learn and that some may remember.

MISSION STATEMENT

To bring The Native American Culture, Religion, and Spirituality, back to our people and to teach Non-Natives the same.
In preserving our traditions, language, culture, and religious and spiritual ceremonies.
To provide all people the information necessary to be able to worship and live accordingly to the ways of our ancestors.
To provide an outreach program to help those in need of education of our culture and in fundamental life skills, to teach arts and crafts as a learning tool.

Some of our Out Reach Programs Include:

1. Long House

2. Ceremonial Grounds to put a Sacred Circle on, and to use for Inter-Tribal Gatherings

3. Traditional Community House

4. Story Tellers of all Native Nations so that our Indigenous Children will be well rounded in their history, customs, and culture

5. Teachers to go into Non-Native Schools and Civic Groups to teach our customs, history, and culture. To non-native people

6. Wind River Trading Post is our store and outlet for our crafts and art work that will help to support our programs

History and Background of the Sacred Hoop

The Sacred House of One People was established in the 1990s. It was created to preserve our traditions, language, culture, and religious and spiritual ceremonies. The organization is used to provide all people with the necessary information to be able to worship and live accordingly to the ways of our ancestors.
